Salt and Watercolor Fireworks

I saw this super cute idea and wanted to try it with my four year old T Rex.

What you need:

Glue

Salt

Construction Paper

Watercolors

What you do:

1. Make firework type shapes out of the glue.

2. While the glue is still wet, sprinkle the salt on.

It should be all covered.

4. Dump out the extra salt.

5. Paint. This is easy. Make sure the paint is super watery and carefully drop, drip, and tap it on the salt. Don’t paint in brush strokes. The glue isn’t dry yet and the design will get messed up.

6. Sit back and enjoy the few moments of peace this project will grant you.

What did you think?

Will you try it with your kids?
