Bookshelf Tour

Welcome aboard, train wreck.

I’m pretty new to the whole bookshelf owning thing. We haven’t always been in a position where I could buy books. We’ve come a long way and now I have a small library. It wasn’t until I joined the Bookstagram and BookTok communities that I saw people showing off their books. So, why not me?

If this is your first time here, welcome aboard, train wreck. Glad to have you here. If this isn’t your first time here, I’m still glad to have you. Please like, comment, share, and subscribe. My goal is to have five hundred subscribers by the end of the year. I think we can make that happen. Please consider donating to help keep this going. $1 and I’ll ask you what your favorite book is so we can talk about it. $5 and I’ll write a review of a book you suggest. $10 and I’ll write a blog suggested by you. I’ll have affiliate links posted.

When you use my links to buy, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps me buy more books to read and review. And coffee and wine for the rest of my time that isn’t reading. So, thank you.

This summer I had one goal. Buy a bookshelf. We had been using the entertainment center and that was doing fine. Then my local used bookshop had a BOGO sale on cozy mysteries and things got a little hectic. There were books on the floor. Books on the tables. They were everywhere. And my husband was getting a little irritated. So, the search began. A few weeks in, and we found this at a local flea market. $150 and I had the perfect place to put my books. And we had the perfect place for it.

It’s a mess. Forgive me. We’re in the process of living. Oh look, that’s this blog on my computer. Nothing like planning ahead.

It fits so perfectly between my grandparents’ clothes quilts. and helps make a Bookstagram corner.

So, let me show you around the shelf.

I think I have 95% of the series. Now ask me how many I’ve read. 0. That’s right. Now one. Because I’ve been reading everything else.
I did read Zombie Survival Guide (Loved it), Jurassic Park and Lost World (Loved them), and Catering to Nobody (Loved it). I have a long way to go.
Spy Family is so good. Jenny Lawson makes me feel like we could be friends. I’ve read 0 Janet Evanovich. I originally bought them for my mother in law and they just showed up over here. I’ve only read one Joanna Fluke and it’s not on here. Didn’t even know who Joan Hess was but it was a BOGO. And I absolutely loved the Enchanted Garden series by Bailey Cattrell.
Nancy Coco was so sweet to send me an advance copy of Hive or Death. Oh and it’s signed. The Jance’s are my mother in law’s. Again they just showed up. I don’t have much Stephen King. My mom does. Like almost all of them. mostly his older works. Of course I have Alice Hoffman. And some witchy book.
More witchy goodness. Interview is one of my favorite books and I’m so glad I revisited it this year with my 31 in 31. I got the Unwind series for my bonus kid. Oh look, more BOGOs. The Westerfield’s are also my bonus kid’s.
These are my red and orange books. And a bottle of Glenlivet. And why is there a Nerf dart there?
My yellow and green books. The Predator mask went well with the colors.
Purples, pinks, and blues. Some white and gray, too.
White, gray, and black.

The bottom shelf is all my son’s books. And it’s a mess because I haven’t had a chance to go through and organize them better.

So, there you have it. One side it grouped by author. The other by color. I’m sure someone out there is cringing at my collection and that’s ok. I’m looking at getting another shelf for the other side to fill in that blank area. And give me more room for more books. Or a book nook. Oh my lanta, I want a book nook so bad. Maybe, I’ll do a post about those soon.

Again, if you like what I post, please like, comment, share, and subscribe. Please consider donating to help keep this going. $1 and I’ll ask you what your favorite book is so we can talk about it. $5 and I’ll write a review of a book you suggest. $10 and I’ll write a blog suggested by you. If you read any of the books I’ve shown, please let me know what you thought of it. That’s all I’ve got for today, train wrecks. All aboard.
