End of the Year Book Tag 2021

Welcome aboard, train wreck.

It’s the end of the year. I’ve been blogging every day since October 1st of this year. But just when I think I’m running out of ideas, I find a book tag.

If this is your first time here, welcome aboard, train wreck. Glad to have you here. If this isn’t your first time here, I’m still glad to have you. Please like, comment,
share, and subscribe. My goal is to have five hundred subscribers by the end of the year. I think we can make that happen.

I found this on https://ninebookishlives.com/ You should check their site out. It’s so beautiful. Makes me think I need to take some classes on how to polish my train wreck up. Anywho. On to the tag. FYI: This content contains affiliate links. When you buy through these links, I may earn an affiliate commission.

ARE THERE ANY BOOKS YOU STARTED THIS YEAR THAT YOU NEED TO FINISH?

I really want to finish the Bennet Women. I can’t stand Jane Austen or Pride and Prejudice. But give me a good retelling and I’m all over it. Unfortunately, what I haven’t been all over is my time management. I have really been enjoying it. I have also been putting in mad overtime at work and wrapping presents and helping my mother in law who hurt her back.

DO YOU HAVE AN AUTUMNAL BOOK TO TRANSITION INTO THE END OF THE YEAR?

Shock and awe, I know. It’s a cozy mystery. Even more earth rocking, it’s a Murder, She Wrote. A Fatal Feast. It takes place at Thanksgiving which is always such a great transition into the holiday season. Even though we had our tree up before the turkey went into the oven.

IS THERE A NEW RELEASE YOU’RE STILL WAITING FOR?

I have no idea why I still haven’t read this. I waited so long for it to come out. Here I am, two months after it released and I still haven’t bought it, read it, or listened to it. Tragic.

WHAT ARE THREE BOOKS YOU WANT TO READ BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR?

I’m hoping to get through the first eight books in the Anne Perry Christmas series. Now if that actually happens, I don’t know. But at least they’re in my TBR (with like a hundred other books.) But you can check out the eight books that are on my December TBR. https://theglorioustrainwreckmom.com/2021/12/04/december-tbr/ Just click the link.

IS THERE A BOOK YOU THINK COULD STILL SHOCK YOU AND BECOME YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK OF THE YEAR?

I still have time to read Book of Magic, which I’m sure will be on my top reads list. And the Bennet Women is good and I would recommend it to people who like the whole enemies to lovers trope. But so far, favorite read of this year is Addie LaRue.

HAVE YOU ALREADY STARTED MAKING READING PLANS FOR NEXT YEAR?

Dear Gods, yes. I’m an over planner. And I belong to so many online book groups. And each has their own annual challenge. Then there are the groups that have monthly challenges so you don’t even know what you’re reading until a week before the month starts. My goal is the same. A hundred books. I do plan on doing my own reading challenges. For February, I want to read fourteen contemporary rom-coms. For October, I’m going to do the thirteen books of Halloween.

I tried the 31 in 31 and even though I was introduced to a lot of great books and new to me authors, I was going to cry. It’s a lot to read a book in a day while you’re working and navigating the train wreck mom life. Thirteen seems more doable. You can see the books I read in my 31 in 31 book reading challenge and my mini reviews of the books here https://theglorioustrainwreckmom.com/2021/10/31/october-wrap-up/

There you have it. I would love to see your answers. Throw them in the comments below or write a post and tag me in it. Again, if you like what I post, please like, comment, share, and subscribe. Please consider donating to help keep this going. $1 and I’ll ask you what your favorite book is so we can talk about it. $5 and I’ll write a review of a book you suggest. $10 and I’ll write a blog suggested by you. That’s all I’ve got for today, train wrecks. All aboard.

To help you get through your TBR, I’m giving you this printable bookmark. Just print it on cardstock and laminate it. Hope you enjoy.

One of my resolutions coming up is to drink more water. I started a challenge this month because I couldn’t wait to start. And then I saw this and now I need it.

https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=905016209&pid=uid241-44785287-5 It has motivational sayings. It’s got times. I need this so much.

If you’d like to drink more water, check out my challenge here https://theglorioustrainwreckmom.com/2021/12/01/drink-up-for-december/ and print the tracker sheet off.
