Welcome aboard, train wreck.

We all have that one book character we can’t help but crush on. The ones who make our heart race and make us wish they were real so we could date them. For some people, it’s the dashing and passionate Edward Cullen from Twilight. For others, it’s the tough and independent Lisbeth Salander from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Fictional book characters are one of life’s little pleasures. We all have our own personal list of dream dates, and thanks to the wonders of fiction, we can vicariously experience what it might be like to date them. Sometimes, pretending to date a fictional character is almost better than the real thing. So if you’re feeling lonely, don’t worry! Here are some fictional book characters we would love to date.

Who is your favorite fictional book character to date? Let us know in the comments! We’d love to hear about your dream dates – both from books and real life. For me, it would have to be someone like Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird or Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice. They’re both intelligent, kind-hearted gentlemen who always seem to know what to say at just the right moment. I could definitely see myself enjoying a cup of tea with either one of them (or maybe even some homemade cookies!). Fictional book characters are one of life’s little pleasures – they let us escape reality for a while and explore different worlds without ever leaving our comfort zone.
