It’s a three day weekend here in the states which means I may actually have a day to read. And even if my family comes over, I need a shield between them and me. And a book is a great protector in any situation. I love articles. I love lists. I love listicles. And if... Continue Reading →
December TBR
It's December. Christmas is barreling down on us faster than my husband on homemade fudge. (OK, me too.) This week has been a little crazy in the Baldwin homestead. I've been working from home to help my mother in law who hurt her back. Like unable to walk without assistance kind of hurt. It's also invoicing week for work and two major projects were given to me with the highest priority. Very little reading has occurred even in audiobook. But never fear. I'm going to pull out one of my favorite tricks to get some books in this month.
Tag Tuesday – Booksgiving
It's almost here. The big feast. And my bookish self started wondering about book characters during the holidays. Thankfully, I found this book tag to help ask and answer my wonderings.
Bookshelf Organization and Tour
I love my book collection. I love knowing at any given moment I can grab book and enjoy it in my house. The only problem is this. My bookshelf becomes a catchall.
27 Bookish Fall Activities
How many enjoyable book-related activities did you participate in this summer? With the sun sinking around 4 p.m., I couldn't help but think about how the autumn is a great time to expand one's reading horizons. Fall is one of my favorite seasons. It's that wonderful time of year when everything is crisp, ripe, and tasty.
October Wrap up
Well, we made it. It's Halloween. Which means today is the last day of my 31 in 31. Did I succeed? Absolutely not. Did I try? I did. I really did but life is hard and lessons were learned.
November Book Bingo
I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that it's the end of October. We haven't visited one haunted house. Not one pumpkin patch. I didn't even put out my tombstones or projectors this year. It honestly felt like the Halloween that just wasn't. Anyone else feel that?
Bookshelf Tour
I'm pretty new to the whole bookshelf owning thing. We haven't always been in a position where I could buy books. We've come a long way and now I have a small library. It wasn't until I joined the Bookstagram and BookTok communities that I saw people showing off their books. So, why not me?
Halloween Book Tag I — chasing destino
It's been a bit since I've done a book tag and since it's Halloween I figured it made sense to do a Halloween Book Tag. I found this on Chasing Destino's blog. Check it out here https://chasingdestino.com/2021/10/09/halloween-book-tag-i/
7 Villains I Love To Hate
Who doesn't love a good villain? I mean a well written, well rounded, oh my gosh it was you all along villain. And maybe it's my own warped brain, but sometimes I can relate to the bad guy. Seriously. There have been more times than not that I've thought Thanos was right. Maybe that's just due to my time working in customer service. Anywho. With this being spooky season, I thought it was time to celebrate some bookish bad guys. Warning, this post will contain spoilers. If you haven't read one or any of these books, feel free to either skip that book or this post.
