The Glorious Train Wreck Mom

This is a safe space for all train wrecks. Except here, we don't give you a puppy and a latte. We give you sarcasm and humor.

You know that saying. The one that says to take care of yourself or you’ll be forced to. Yeah. That ain’t no joke. Back in November my vision was getting blurry. Ok. Blurrier. I had an eye appointment so no worries. I say no worries for someone who is filled with worry. Any who. The …

I’ve already done the bath deal. I’ve told you all there is to it. Im not going to beat this dead horse any further. Instead, let’s talk about sex. Ma, stop reading. No, seriously, just go to the next chapter. Ok. I don’t usually talk about sex. It’s not something I’m comfortable with discussing with …

I love calendars and planners. Anything that gives me the illusion I’ve got my shit together, that’s my jam. The fact that neither duct tape or crazy glue could hold my shit together is a whole different topic. The kids have been out since spring break in March so I haven’t had to put anything …

The Glorious Train Wreck Mom

You ask how I am. And I say I’m fine. I say I’m tired. You hear I’m tired. But there’s so much more. It’s more than tired. My tread is worn and bald. Worn smooth like a stone that’s been run over by sand and water for far too long. Too long to heal from …

The Glorious Train Wreck Mom

This. Every ounce of this. And there’s no break. No rest. It just bleeds into the next day. The next evening. The next night of broken, fevered dream filled sleep. The heartbreak of wanting to be better but just being too worn down, too tired to keep fighting, keep trying, keep awake. And there’s no amount …

Summer is rough on moms and kids. It’s estimated that 1 in 4 kids is going to need medical attention for something over the course of the summer. I have 4 kids. Are you kidding me?! The last thing I need is a call saying my one of my chuckle heads is at the hospital. …

Summer is for relaxing and chilling out and letting their brains turn to mush. How’s that working for you? …

You have to scream to get anyone to listen to you!! This seems to be a universal mom thing. No one seems to listen or pay attention to you until you turn into a stark, raving lunatic. Then, they all stand around and try to figure out why the men in the white jackets are …

Every Sunday something supernatural occurs in my house. It’s an odd phenomenon that everyone sees but doesn’t speak about. Every Sunday morning, all the closets are empty. All the dresser drawers are as bare as Old Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. Even the bathroom closet that holds the towels was empty save for the toilet paper and …

I love my Roomba. This is my Roomba review. I love my Roomba so much. I love how the i Robot Roomba makes vacuuming one less chore that I have to do. I don’t have to move my furniture. I don’t have to worry about anything. I usually fold and put laundry away while my roomba is running. That right there is work smarter not harder. Any time I can get more done in less time is a life saver. I really think every mother needs this in her life.
My iRobot Roomba 652 is the best robot vacuum in my opinion.
