Menu planning is not my forte. Being organized and prepared is also not my strong point. But being cheap, easy, and fast is absolutely everything I’m all about.
This is literally a throw it in the crockpot and be done recipe. All you’ll need to do is make whatever sides you’ll want with it. We like rice. And I’m lucky. I can get my teens to make the rice so it’s done by time I get home.
So, you’re going to need:
- Chicken breasts
- Taco seasoning
- Jar of salsa
Three ingredients. That’s it.
Now, this is what you do:
Put the chicken in the crockpot.
Cover the chicken with the taco seasoning.
Cover the chicken with the salsa.
Set the timer. It’s 5 am here. We get home by 530 pm. So I put it on low for 10 hours. You can do high for 3 if that works better for you. I’m lucky. After 10 hours, it switches to keep warm mode. I love this crockpot.
That’s it. I hope this helps with your daily routine and making it less crazy for you and your family.
If you try this, let me know how it comes out . Don’t forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe. That’s all I’ve got for now, trainwreck. All aboard.
